There is a need for responsible and sustained society intervention. With this thought PRERAK is running its projects. As per the constitution of institute the entire Chhattisgarh State is the area of operation. But this institute has so far conducted programmes in Gariaband, Chhura and Mainpur block of Raipur District and Magarlod Block of Dhamtari District. At present the institution is concentrating in Gariaband and Mainpur block of Raipur district in Chhattisgarh State.

At present there are three programmes run by PRERAK:

• Livelihood promotion program in Mainpur block.
• Community Based Rehabilitation Programme.
• Integrated Education for visually impaired people.
• Food Security and Irrigation Programme in Gariaband block.
